Jeep took advantage of the New York International Auto Show to present us with the 2024 lineup of the Wrangler and all the innovations that come with it. The list is long, and enthusiasts of the model will be particularly pleased with this new offering from the American manufacturer.

The innovations
In addition to all the items mentioned above, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler has numerous minor improvements. The American manufacturer has enhanced the standard equipment of the entry-level version with a 12.3-inch screen and side-curtain airbags. Of course, the higher the trim level, the better the equipment added. Adaptive cruise control is now standard starting with the Sport S version, as well as front and rear side-curtain airbags and forward collision warning. In total, the American manufacturer's SUV offers up to 85 safety features depending on the version and equipment level.
The Willys version has larger 33-inch tires and higher fenders for 2024, increasing its ground clearance and giving it a stern look. The Sahara version now offers standard LED exterior lighting. As for the High Altitude version, the added features are growing, including 12-way adjustable front seats, improved sound insulation, and a front camera specially designed for off-road driving. The Rubicon version offers a rear Dana 44 differential, and the Rubicon X version provides the most improvements, including an Alpine sound system, steel bumpers, and more.
You can unlock a map that lists over 3,000 trails through the Uconnect 5 system for a small fee. However, the American manufacturer has yet to specify whether this function is unique to the United States or also applies to Canada.
As for the appearance, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler offers a new design for its legendary 7-slot grille. It's not much, but it's enough to please enthusiasts of the American manufacturer's SUV who prefer evolution to radical change.
The 4xe version is gaining ground
For its part, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe continues to improve thanks to its frenzied popularity. It will now be available in a Sport S 4xe version, making it more affordable than ever. The American manufacturer's SUV also benefits from a new power box that includes four 120-volt outlets and a 30-amp outlet, which is typically used to connect large-format household appliances such as an oven or dryer. This is a feature that can be very useful when you're in the middle of the forest or in emergencies when there is no electricity at home.
According to Jeep, the Wrangler 4xe is the best-selling PHEV vehicle in North America. This is excellent news as the American manufacturer wants to reduce its ecological footprint by 50% by 2030. Moreover, Jeep has taken advantage of this to announce that 50% of its lineup will be electrified by 2025.
Four engines and impressive capabilities
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler will offer one of the broadest and most diversified ranges of engines in its category, with four mechanical options. First, there is the powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that delivers 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 4xe version uses the same engine with the addition of a hybrid system for a total output of 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Jeep Wrangler still offers the 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Finally, to everyone's surprise, the 6.4-liter V8 is also back in the Wrangler lineup for 2024 with 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has such impressive off-road capabilities that it can make most ATVs blush. The American manufacturer's SUV offers an approach angle of 47.4 degrees and a departure angle of 40.4 degrees. Its ground clearance is 12.9 inches, and its break-over angle is 27.8 degrees, allowing it to go where most off-road vehicles cannot even reach. Jeep also offers an optional 8,000-pound winch for the Rubicon version, as if that weren't enough.
